Supermarket scene: child sees chocolate đŤ, you say no â meltdown! đ Sound familiar? Relaxâtantrums are a normal part of brain growth.
Hereâs whatâs really happening: toddlersâ brains can feel big emotions but donât yet know how to express them. So they scream, roll, or cry.
đĄ What helps most?
Stay calm. Donât shout back. (Easier said than done, I know!)
Hug first. Physical reassurance tells them theyâre safe.
Talk later. Once calm, explain in short, simple words: âI know you wanted chocolate, but not today.â
And pleaseâdonât feel judged. Even pediatriciansâ kids roll on the floor sometimes! Parenting isnât about stopping tantrums, itâs about guiding kids through them with love. đ
